Is this your puppy?
Furst Steps is a great fit if…
- You’re still picking out your puppy and want the ball rolling before they come home
- Your puppy just came home and you’re figuring out what to do first
- Your puppy isn’t fully vaccinated yet — we come to you, so safe socialization starts now, during the window that matters most
- Potty training and those extra-mouthy teething weeks are running the house
- Your home wasn’t puppy-proofed — and now you’re learning what that even means
- You’ve never had a dog, and you’re starting your dog life with a puppy
Sound familiar? You’re exactly who this package was built for.
How It Works
-
1
Book a free intro call
We’ll talk about your puppy — or your puppy plans — and match you with the right trainer.
-
2
Meet your trainer for an evaluation
Your trainer meets you and your puppy in person and makes sure you’re starting in the right package. Borderline age, a more mature pup, or an experienced owner working on bigger things might point to Furry Fundamentals instead — this package is about shaping good habits from the start and setting your puppy up for success.
- Evaluations are $150
- No commitment beyond the evaluation — you decide if we’re the right fit
-
3
Map out your six sessions
If we’re a fit, we build your plan together — and the trainer you evaluated with is your trainer for the whole package.
- Six one-hour private sessions — weekly is the goal, and we’ll map all six out from day one
- Sessions are completed within two months of starting. Puppyhood moves fast, and this package is built for the puppy window — not adolescent issues or serious behavior concerns
- Sessions not used within the two months expire — after that, continuing is at our $85/hour rate
-
4
Schedule and payment
We get your sessions on the calendar and get started — the earlier in puppyhood, the better.
- Package payment is due in full before your first session
- Financing available
-
5
Train where your puppy is growing up
Sessions happen in your home and neighborhood — and your trainer is on retainer between sessions. Real questions get real answers, no waiting for the next class.
- Puppy socialization, done safely — even before vaccinations are finished, we build controlled, positive exposure to the sights, sounds, and experiences that shape a confident adult dog
- A full hour every session — and no, your puppy won’t work for sixty minutes straight. Puppies train in short bursts; the rest of the hour is yours: coaching, questions, and the skills you’ll use all week. Training you is training them.
Graduates of Furst Steps get first pick of our group classes — and follow-up sessions are always available at $85/hour with the trainer who already knows your dog.
