Dog Trainers That Know East Sac

The Fab Forties are the crown jewel of East Sacramento—wide, walkable streets lined with the kind of grand old homes people drive across town just to admire, especially during Christmas-light season. It's a neighborhood with serious curb appeal, and the dogs who live here are some of the most well-walked in Sacramento.

McKinley Park is the heartbeat of the neighborhood—32 acres of rose gardens, shady walking paths, and a popular jogging loop. The steady stream of people, dogs, bikes, and strollers makes it a wonderful place for confident dogs and a challenging one for reactive or anxious pups. Add in daily walks along J Street, neighborhood cafés, front-porch greetings, and Saturdays at the farmers market, and there's a lot for any dog to experience.

We've put down real roots here. One of our sweetest East Sacramento client families, Ron and Vicki, gifted us a St. Roch pendant—the patron saint of dogs and healing—made before 1961. It travels with us every day on our keychain, a small piece of history that reminds us why we do this work and how fortunate we are to earn the trust of such kind, generous families.

That's where we come in. We work with East Sacramento dogs and their families in the places they use every day—the loop around McKinley Park, the busy stretches of J Street and Folsom Boulevard, and even the front door where the doorbell sends everyone into a frenzy. Whether your dog is working through reactivity, anxiety, puppy foundations, or everyday manners, we meet you where you are—in the neighborhood you call home.

And because great neighborhoods are built on great neighbors, we're proud to partner with Tim Collom of House Real Estate, an East Sacramento realtor who knows these streets paw to paw. We've had the joy of training two of Tim and Victoria's own dogs, Ollie and Jackpot—so we know firsthand the love this family has for their pups. Whether you're settling into a new home or helping your dog feel at home in the one you already have, we've got you covered.
